Values of the group are:

As our main working tool is our brain, a good life hygiene is foundational to well functioning of the group. This means:

  • limiting the working time to the legal duration in the Czech Republic (max. 40 focused hours / week);
  • organize and anticipate deadlines in an active manner, to decrease stress;
  • set email consultation to 2 times per day, and send your emails out of personal schedule; although it is responsibility of readers to not check their emails during week-end;
  • to keep space for curiosity, spontaneous discussions and people to reach out to others.

Group leader TJY Derrien has been involved in activities of mentoring at the level of:

  • Pilot project of Marie Curie Alumni Association for Mentoring: 1 student mentored to successful PhD defense.
  • FZU mentoring action: 1 post-doc under mentoring.
  • Multi-cultural and international collaborative and competitive interactions with resolution of conflicts of interest.
  • Experience with members of the research groups.

Group leader also got training in:

  • Time management,
  • Stressors identification and management,
  • Hierarchology and management structures,
  • Cognitive psychology,
  • Conflict management,
  • Awareness on manipulation techniques and psychopathy detection,
  • Semantic analysis.
