As our main working tool is our brain, a good life hygiene is foundational to well functioning of the group. This means:
- limiting the working time to the legal duration in the Czech Republic (max. 40 focused hours / week);
- organize and anticipate deadlines in an active manner, to decrease stress;
- set email consultation to 2 times per day, and send your emails out of personal schedule; although it is responsibility of readers to not check their emails during week-end;
- to keep space for curiosity, spontaneous discussions and people to reach out to others.
Group leader TJY Derrien has been involved in activities of mentoring at the level of:
- Pilot project of Marie Curie Alumni Association for Mentoring: 1 student mentored to successful PhD defense.
- FZU mentoring action: 1 post-doc under mentoring.
- Multi-cultural and international collaborative and competitive interactions with resolution of conflicts of interest.
- Experience with members of the research groups.
Group leader also got training in:
- Time management,
- Stressors identification and management,
- Hierarchology and management structures,
- Cognitive psychology,
- Conflict management,
- Awareness on manipulation techniques and psychopathy detection,
- Semantic analysis.
